Harpenden is an affluent town of a medium size located between St Albans and Luton in the southern English county of Hertfordshire.

Shaw’s Corner is one of the most unique attractions in Harpenden. This idyllic villa was home to renowned Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw from 1906 until 1950. Today the home is a National Trust museum with exhibits about the writer’s life and works.
