Coatbridge is a town in North Lanarkshire, about eight miles east of central Glasgow. A mid-sized community, it is a part of the Greater Glasgow Urban Area.

Home to the Summerlee museum of Scottish Industrial Life, Coatbridge is a fiercely proud town with a long history as an important centre of manufacturing.
