In 2013 Olga took her honeymoon to Morocco's vibrant capital, Marrakech, where she visited Jardin Majorelle.

Created by the French painter Jacques Majorelle over almost four decades, starting in 1923, the botanical garden is home to 300 plant species from five continents – more types of cacti than you can shake a terrarium at. But by 1966 it was about to be demolished until Yves Saint Laurent stepped in, “seduced by this oasis where colours used by Matisse were mixed with those of nature”.

Olga was similarly “seduced” on her first visit there. “Straight away I wanted to create my own world from flowers and decided to become a floral designer.” Ever since she’s seen floral design as something deeply based in fashion and art.

She grew up in the Ukraine but decided to study in the Netherlands. After graduating from the Dutch Floral School as a “master designer”, she started visiting nurseries and greenhouses around the world to learn from leading growers, breeders and other experts in the floral industry. Then she felt ready to to set up her own studio, drawing inspiration from the world of fashion but also art, design, architecture and photography.

"We can advise or simply listen to your needs because we realise that, in the end, it’s all about you," she says. "Whether it’s a dramatic centerpiece to mark a special occasion or an elegant little spray to cheer up a wet Wednesday, we love making people happy."
