Based in the heart of NoLita (North of Little Italy, for those Floom fans not so accustomed to New York’s neighborhoods), owner Dallas has built a thriving floristry business that celebrates the diversity of New York through the diversity of its blooms. “Flowers are a part of daily life,” she says. “We aim to provide both unique and simple designs – from everyday bouquets, to table arrangements, to the ‘chuppah’ canopy that Jewish couples stand under during their wedding ceremony... We also do a lot of floral arrangements for New York Fashion Week – one of our most recent commissions was for Marc Jacobs, creating a whimsical purple and white arrangement using anemones. One of our favourite flowers!” Her team’s meticulous approach and deft skills with fresh-cut flowers are perfectly positioned for same day arrangement/delivery and longer lead, more considered arrangements alike. Dallas’ favourite floral experiences are often at the weddings she gets to work at. “I have always loved the wedding industry and the sentiment of such a special day, not just for the bride and groom but for the whole family. I love creating center-pieces which make each guest’s eyes light up as soon as they walk in the venue – there is something so magical about producing a work of art that will be remembered on someone’s special day.”
