Heath Cudweed (Gnaphalium sylvaticum), is a species of plant in the sunflower family that is native to the south Yorkshire area. A perennial herb that can grow to be as tall as 60cm, the Heath Cudweed has been described as ruggedly handsome, much like the town of Doncaster itself.
Flowering in the warmer months of the year, from July until September, this plant contains a complex mix of green and brown tones that represent the earthiness of the surrounding Doncaster countryside including Leeds, York and Hull.
