An area in the London Borough of Harrow, Belmont is named after the mound constructed in the 18th century by Henry Brydges, Earl of Carnarvon. Where the mound once stood is now Stanmore Golf Course, which we’ve heard is quite lovely.

Belmont Circle provides the main focus of the area, a large circular parade with plentiful eateries and bars, as well as a club popular with locals on weekends. The area is a largely residential district, and was formerly served by Belmont station, which was known locally as The Rattler.
